Is this Rubix-hosted SaaS backup?
No. You run rubixd on infrastructure you control. Agents dial out to your server.
What do Windows and Linux agents back up?
Windows: VSS volumes. Linux: file trees. Schedules, GFS, GC, and verify are part of the product scope.
Can the backup server read my data?
In E2E mode, no — rubixd holds ciphertext without the keys. Without E2E, encrypted-at-rest safes still protect disks; key custody follows your deployment choices. Read /security for the model.
